Bama Quilt Gets a Tryout

I finally finished the quilt for Nicolas. Here he is lounging around on it at a wedding shower last weekend at a wedding shower in his mom’s hometown of St. Joseph, Missouri. Nic was the only guy there. His dad was at Grandpa and Grandma Hammer’s house watching Alabama’s A-Day football game on ESPN. Unlike urban protocol, Mid-America small-town protocol still allows that men don’t much care for attending wedding showers. Personally, I agree, but Nic did not seem to mind one bit I am told.

Fantastic! You did a great job. I agree let the men watch ESPN.

I suspect it will be a lifelong treasure for the young man. I was suprised on how close we were on our point of view this week, other than waterboarding which I do not consider torture, we were close.

I was looking so hard at little Nic, I had to go back to look at the quilt you made him. Both are absolutely beautiful; aren't grandsons just so cuddly? Mine is such a cuddle bug...so different from my squirmy granddaughter!

Little Nic looks as if he's enjoying himself very well!

Nic looks like he's enjoying himself Sheila. He's a lovely little boy. I'm sure he'll treasure that lovely quilt you made for him. It's a family heirloom now for Nic to pass onto his children!
