Part 4I’ve decided on the dimensions, theme and color palate. I took scissors to cloth, cutting out several appliqué pieces and selecting the background material.
The beauty of my self-inspired design is that I can change my direction at any time. This first section, however, is fairly inflexible.
And I set about embroidering by hand the first appliqué letter. I will spare the details and show the first completed piece. If you know me well enough, you will figure out what the following letters of this first word will be.
Care to guess?

I hope it's Baby, but it could also be Barack...
The red shows power and control and strength, a fiery personality. Good choice of colour for both of these!
You are very creative, Sheila...I had this thought of making a quilt when I first moved into the motel; I didn't, and now the idea has moved to next Winter. Your posts will show me exactly how to do it!
Thank you!
well i know for SURE it's NOT cake... maybe bee? ha ha ha

BAMA?
Marion,
It could have been baby for that is who it's for.
Thanks, Naomi.
Miss Bee, You need a cake quilt. Wouldn't that be a cute idea?
But Tracey you are 100% correct. "A" & "M" & "A" to come and then some more. I will have to get home to really work on the project. I want to be finished prior to football season. HA!
Yeah! I guessed right!
I love your blog, especially becuase you really tell it like it is.
Can't wait to see the finished product.
I am doing some research of Obama for his positions on vets, I will answer your question. Honestly, I would like to see all vets given anything they need, but personally I have been well cared for as it is.
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the OLED, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://oled-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.

I am glad someone got it, I can't wait to see the finished project.
best wishes for a happy Easter
I know some people don't go for awards, but I had to, take it or leave it---on my blog for you, Sweet Alabama!
