Puzzling Question Wednesday

Can someone please tell me how the iPod earphones cord gets so tangled while in my pocket? It must have a life of its own because I straighten it out and by the time I get to the YMCA, it’s looped and tied up like the first rope a cub scout ever tried to tie.

I wanted to say 'hi'. I saw your blog listed on a Boomer site. As far a IPod cords go, I don't have one, but I trust you that the cords get really tangled. Come visit me. I am a 48 year old living in Boston.

Welcome Rhea. I dropped by your blog and it's a fine one. One that I'll want to visit regularly. I like your focus. Me, I'm just all over the place.

I've no Ipod, Sheila, but I do contend with headsets all day, and some how they manage to get entangled with the mouse and other things conected to the pc, and they're opposite sides of one another on the desk. I think there's some strange unspoken law of physics that say cords must tangle. Maybe I'll invent some cord that's impossible to tangle - oh, wait, I'm too late. It's called cordless. Darnit . . .

Hi Tim,
Our office computer, printer, scanner, airport, cable modem, and phone must have a mile of cords. I hate the messy appearance and feel like a detective if I have to unplug one to trouble shoot. Guess we really are a plugged in society.

Ha ha! Your post and everyone's comments made me laugh! I think those cords just have a mind of their own! Everywhere I go they get tangled at home and at work! That's why I've invested in a cordless mouse! I think the thinner the cords the more they get tangled! I have the same problem with my Ipod headphones.

Hi Naomi,
That cordless mouse sounds like a good idea. I love the iPod so much though. It's really not mine, but my husband let's me borrow it.
