Tag, You’re It!

Southern Gal Dana tells me she “tagged” me and Marion did too. Well, I guess I should have figured it out. I played my fair share of tag as a kid. Anyway, the way this goes apparently is that I’m supposed to reveal five things you may not know about me. If you’ll check my archives, you may find a self-indulgent post where I wrote factoids about myself, but I seriously doubt anyone will check that out to see if I am repeating.

You may not know:
1. I was always the good girl in high school but wished I wasn’t.
2. There are worst things than worrying about a bad hair day. For example, having a no hair day as I did for several months a couple of years ago.
3. I’ve never been on a cruise and will be fine with that. If you like being trapped on a big boat with a bunch of strangers that you are forced to socialize with and are susceptible to Norwalk Virus, go for it.
4. I’ve never been to Las Vegas and think gambling is a waste of time. Okay, I’m not the holy-roller type who wants to keep you from blowing your time and money if you so desire. I blow time and money on crap too. Check out my arts & crafts stash. I seriously think I’m addicted to ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and A. C. Moore.
5. I have developed A.D.D in the last two and a half years. I can’t seem to finish reading any book I’ve picked up during this time. I’ll read them halfway and then get pulled in another direction.
6. The buttermilk just exploded when I opened it. Does that mean it’s bad?

There you have it. Six, not five. I’m terrible in math. That’s seven and seven is enough self-disclosure for one day from this normally private (except in the blog) person.

Okay...I'm game...

Hmm . . . Ok, I'll play along. This could be interesting, though I could be letting some cats out of the bag. ;)

I feel that way about the big QE2's cruises, too. But there's one cruise you might not want to completely right off yet - it's called Norway in a Nutshell. It's wonderful.

That thing with the buttermilk - not good.

If you weren't joking about the A.D.D., I don't think that's what you really have, unless you had it as a child. Maybe you have several things pulling you in too many directions in life - if that's the case, I can relate.

Okay, Sheila! "I moved the Tag, You're It!" post to my personal blog, Notes That Touch The Heart.

As I read your comment on A.D.D., I was thinking that I must have it and not know it!!!

So they got you, too, Shelia. I'd lots rather read what other people have to say than to try to come up with something about myself, wouldn't you?

Okay, everyone. Please don't be mad. I normally don't like "chain letter" stuff like this, but since two of my favorite bloggers did it to me, I felt justified in tagging you three. I would've tagged Dirty Butter but Marion beat me to her.

Tim, I may have a small case of A.D.D. I am not dismissing this condition as I have experience with it. Like many disorders, I think we can have a touch of them and unless we get "labeled" we never know it. We just go about our lives and adjust. I hate labels.

DB, I had to think and I'm like you and would rather read what others have to share. You get some rest.
So far your advice about comments is causing no problems.

Sheila, you could have been writing about me...I have all those things inside myself too! All except for the buttermilk. I would advise not opening it...I did that once and have never been the same since! lol

Thanks for playing the game.

Marion,
It was fun.

A.D.D is more prevalent than was previously supposed. However, just as most vision problems are corrected with glasses or contacts, A.D.D often is not a real problem.

I, too, seldom finish a book. Recently I took an on-line class for 4 weeks. The stories we read were all short and easily finished in one sitting. I don't think that I could have done it otherwise. But in the spring I'll be taking another course, and the book is long and complex.

When I became 50 I began losing my car in parking lots. My wife, who is five years younger, would scold me. Now that she has passed 50--we both look for the car.

Jay, you make me feel better. I used to read all the time. I still read a tremendous amount, but just not in book form. I got halfway through The Davinci Code, The Broker and a novel about Nascar of all crazy things. And, I nearly always head down the wrong aisle in big parking lots. Between the two of us we usually find the car pretty quickly. But it takes two of us. Ha.

I skipped over ADD and went right to CRS.

Oh, I almost forgot. CRS = Can't Remember Shit.

Well, Sheila, I finally made it to your site. It's great. I'm ADD w/CRS. The social worker was here today doing the home visit for my custody battle over my niece. I told her I think all adults with more than one child develope adult ADD out of necessity. It's the only way to keep up with the little ones.

Oh noregrets, so happy to see you had a chance to stop by. I can't imagine trying to get custody and all the hoops you must have to jump through. Bless your heart to give your niece a home and if it takes a case of ADD then it's going to be worth it to this child. I used to be a volunteer guardian ad litem for foster care review hearings and you wouldn't believe how many times most kids have been moved around from home to home. It broke my heart and I had to stop.
